PRK

Finally, after two years we are back at Furlong for the touch up work. Since it's been awhile and the flap has probably fused, the doctor did not recommend LASIK but PRK instead. This makes my wife super nervous but safety first! The recovery will be more difficult but I hope she gets her 20/20 vision.

  2. Did ur wife achived 20/20 vision. I am also considering dr Furlong. My prescription now is -2.50 and I am considering PRK. The prices are sky high(PRK is $5190& Lasik $5890) I ask his assistant for a 5% discount and she refuses and offered other payments /credits options. I am still looking and There are many great Dr out there. Any advice or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

  3. Yes she's 20/20. You can expect that or 20/15 which could be just as likely as your vision isn't as bad as hers. Shop around and see if you can score a discount. Perhaps Furlong is doing such good business that he doesn't care to discount. Try Dr. Bindi, he may be open to one or a no interest payment. We went to him first and in hindsight, I think he is probably just as good as Dr. Furlong. As long as it's the latest technology, I don't think any one Dr. Is better than any other.

  4. Thank you so much for your reply. I will schedule an initial appointment with Dr. Bindi. And I am glad your wife is able to see 20/20 and not need to wear
    glasses or contacts.

  5. Hi KD, came across your blog and it's so helpful. I noticed it's been a little over 5 years since the correction, how is your wife's eyesight now?
